Northcentral University: Early Childhood Education

Northcentral University was founded to provide working professionals with unprecedented access to richly engaging, professionally-relevant, and academically-rigorous education. As a regionally accredited, online university, NCU offers doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s, and graduate certificates through its Schools of Business and Technology Management, Education, Psychology and Marriage and Family Sciences. NCU utilizes a one-to-one teaching model—one student is paired with a faculty member in each course— to create a more personalized, mentoring experience for students. All NCU faculty hold doctoral degrees and our doctoral programs do not have residency requirements.

Northcentral University’s School of Education offers an online Master of Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. This 30 credit hour program usually takes 21 months to complete. New students following the preferred schedule designed by the Dean for this program, and applying no transfer credits, can expect to finish this 30 credit program in as little as 15 months. The specialization in Early Childhood Education emphasizes the responsibilities and unique challenges of educating children in the crucial early years of life, when social and learning relationships are being formed.
