Stephen F. Austin University: Early Childhood Education

Stephen F. Austin State University was founded in 1923 as a teaching college in Nacadochas, TX, and today is one of only four independent public universities in the state. Because of the university’s ties to the forestry industry, the school’s mascot is the Lumberjack. Stephen F Austin State University has been named one of the top 100 western universities, and boasts a number of famous alumni, including singer-songwriters Rodney Crowell and Don Henley.
