Roosevelt University is an independent, private, non-profit university with two distinct campuses in Chicago and in Schaumburg, Illinois. Founded in 1945, the university also offers classes in other schools, in communities and in corporations.
The university offers over 120 Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees as well as Certificate programs in such fields as the arts, sciences, business, education and pharmacy. It is organized into six academic programs through which students can earn a degree and these include: the College of Arts and Sciences; the Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration; College of Education; Chicago College of Performing Arts; Evelyn T. Stone College of Professional Studies; and the College of Pharmacy.
Cost of tuition and fees for academic year 2010-2011 for fulltime undergraduate students is US$23,000 per year for those enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration, College of Education, and Evelyn Stone College of Professional Studies. Part-time tuition is US$689. For graduate students, tuition cost is US$16,900 for those enrolled fulltime in the College of Arts and Sciences, Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration, and Evelyn Stone College of Professional Studies. Part-time fee is US$770. Those enrolled in the College of Education pay a fee of US$15,500 per year; while those enrolled fulltime in the Chicago College of Performing Arts pay tuition cost of US$29,900 whether they are undergraduate or graduate students. A Doctor in Psychology degree costs US$19,900 per year while a Doctor of Education costs US$15,500. Financial aid is extended to help students pay for their cost of tuition.
