Midway College is an independent, liberal arts college affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). It is the only college for women in the State of Kentucky. It is located at 512 East Stephens Street, Midway, Kentucky.

The all-female Day College offers majors in teacher education, nursing, business and equine studies. The School for Career Development offers adult programs to both men and women through evening and weekend classes. These programs are offered in the Midway College campus and in more than 18 sites located across the state as well as through Midway Online. Accelerated degree-completion programs for working adults are likewise offered in Organizational Administration and Leadership, Homeland Security Corporate Management and Assessment, and Teacher Education.

There are about 1,800 students enrolled at Midway College. Student/faculty ratio is 24:1 while full-time faculty number at 40. The campus is located on a 200-acre farm overlooking the small town of Midway. It houses the Pinkerton Hall, the oldest building on campus as recognized by the National Register of Historic Places. Other facilities found in the campus include the Equine Education Center, the Equine Barn, the Marrs Hall, the Starks Hall, the Anne Hart Raymond Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology and several residential buildings.

Total cost of on-campus attendance is $ 26,675.00 including tuition and fees. The same rate applies for in-state and out-of-state students. Undergraduate programs cost $ 525.00 per credit. Books and supplies cost about $ 2,000.00.

The three most popular majors are the Health Professions, Computer and Information Science, and Business. The college intends to launch its School of Pharmacy in the eastern Kentucky community of Paintsville in 2011. The school shall admit up to 80 students and shall offer the Pharm.D. degree initially through the Big Sandy Community and Technical College while seeking for a permanent campus.
