Our Lady of the Lake College is a private, four-year Catholic institution located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Founded in 1923 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady as Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing with the mission to educate students to become health care providers, in 1995, the school was renamed Our Lady of the Lake College following full accreditation as an associate degree granting institution. In 1998, the college was allowed to grant bachelor of arts degrees, and in 2005, master’s degrees. Today, Our Lady of the Lake remains the only Catholic college that can be found in the greater Baton Rouge region.
Over 1,800 students are currently enrolled in Our Lady of the Lake College. With a strong liberal arts core curriculum as foundation, the college continues to provide its students with excellent health sciences and nursing programs for which it has long been known for. Bachelor’s degrees that it offers range from Bachelor of Science in clinical laboratory sciences to Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies with a concentration in Religious studies. Associate degrees are also granted in fields related to nursing and allied health. For its Master’s degree program, the college grants two Master of Science degrees and one Master of Medical Science degree.
Cost of tuition and fees for fulltime undergraduate students is US$4,332 and for part-time undergraduates, US$3,989.75. To help students pay for their cost of tuition, financial aid is extended by the college in the form of grants, loans, scholarships and student employment.
On-campus housing is not offered at the college.
