Newbury College is an institution of higher learning that seeks to produce graduates who are active and engaged citizens. It was founded in 1962 and has been granted accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It is located at 129 Fisher Avenue, Brookline, Massachusetts. The student body is composed of full-time and part-time students totaling 1,300. Female/male ratio is 60:40 while student/faculty ratio is 12:1. There are about 35 full-time faculty members.

Programs of study include Bachelor’s degree programs in Communication, Mass Communication, Media Writing, Computer Science, Corporate Communications, Graphic Design, Interdisciplinary Studies, Interior Design, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, Pre-Law and Psychology as well as Associate degree programs in General Studies offered through The School of Arts, Science and Design. The School of Business Management offers Bachelor’s degree programs in Business Administration, Accounting, Business Management, Fashion Merchandising, Finance, Information Technology Management, International Business Management, Sports Management and Health Care Management as well as the Associate degree program in Management. The Roger A. Saunders School of Hotel and Restaurant Management offers Bachelor’s degree programs in Hotel/Restaurant and Service Management, Culinary Management and Hotel Administration plus Associate degree programs in Culinary Arts, Food Service and Restaurant Management, and Hotel and Resort Management.

Educational costs for an academic year includes $ 24,000.00 for tuition, $ 11,750.00 for average room and board, $ 1,500.00 for estimated books and supplies, $ 500.00 for enrollment deposit and several mandatory fees in varying amounts. All new students are required to take the First Year Seminar which serves as a connection course to incorporate new students with the college’s mission and culture. Merit scholarships are rewarded for students’ initiative and hard work.
