North Central University (NCU) is a Pentecostal School owned and operated by 11 Assemblies of God districts of the upper Midwest. It was founded as the North Central Bible Institute in 1930 but became the North Central Bible College in 1957. It became the North Central University in 1998. It is located at 910 Elliot Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The long list of majors, minors and concentrations are offered by the University Departments consisting of the Arts and Sciences, Bible and Theology, Business Administration, Carlstrom Deaf Studies, Communication Arts, Church Leadership: Pastoral Ministries, Church Leadership: Student Ministries, Education, English, Fine Arts, Intercultural Studies and Languages, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. The preparation of Pentecostal leaders and ministers involves the completion of a minimum of 30 credits of Bible/Theology for all majors including the 21 credit Bible Core. Undergraduate degrees awarded by NCU include the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, three-year diploma, Associate of arts and one-year certificate courses.
Primarily a residential campus, NCU seeks to provide a comfortable living and learning environment. Each of its residence halls has a full-time professional Resident Director tasked to supervise their respective assigned halls. A part-time Resident Advisor provides students with discipleship and friendship.
Estimated cost for an academic year for a typical 15 credit-per-semester program is $ 15,660.00. Other expenses include $ 3,190.00 for housing, $ 2,420.00 for meal plan, $ 670.00 for general fee and $ 216.00 for technology fee. Financial aid options are available to those looking for a more affordable way of attaining college education. NCU’s Affordability Program can also provide other options to significantly lower the cost of education.
