Ramapo College of New Jersey is a public, four-year liberal arts and professional studies institution located in a 300-acre campus in Mahwah, New Jersey. Founded in 1969, the college offers bachelor’s degrees in a broad range of majors in such fields as the arts, sciences, business, humanities, the social sciences, and in professional studies such as nursing and social work. For its graduate degree program, the college grants a Master of Arts om Liberal Arts, Master of Science in Educational Technology, and a Master of Science in Nursing Education.
Academically, the college is organized into five distinct schools; namely, the Anisfield School of Business; the School of American and International Studies; the School of Contemporary Arts; the School of Social Science and Human Services; and the School of Theoretical and Applied Science. An average of 5,000 students enroll at the college every year.
Cost of tuition and related fees for fulltime undergraduate students is US$5,708 for those living in New Jersey and US$9,549.60 for those living outside of the state. Part-time undergraduate students pay tuition on a per credit hour basis at a rate of US$356.75 for in-state students and US$596.85 for out-of-state students. For graduate students living in New Jersey, the cost of tuition and related fees per credit hour is US$578.85 and for those living outside of the state, US$728.75. Students who want to live on campus have to pay an extra charge for room and board.
To help students pay for their cost of tuition and related fees, financial aid is extended by the college in the form of loans, grants and scholarships for qualified students.
