Offering its academic programs for more than a century, New Mexico Highland University (NMHU) has become an integral part of the communities where its main campus and off-campus centers are found. New Mexico Highland University’s undergraduate and graduate programs are provided through its College of Humanities and Fine Arts, College of Science and Mathematics, School of Business, School of Education and School of Social Work. Some of the areas of study offered include Anthropology, Art, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, Education, English, Spanish, Environmental Geology, Exercise and Sports Sciences, Forestry, History, Mathematics, Media Arts, Music, Nursing, Sociology, Physics, Political Science, Psychology and Social Work. The university also offers the dual credit program which allows high school students to enroll in college courses at NMHU prior to graduation from high school.
Tuition cost for undergraduate studies amount to $ 114.20 per credit. Graduate programs cost $ 122.40 per credit. A 12 to18 undergraduate credit load costs about $ 1,370.40 for residents, $ 2,154.24 for non-residents or $ 2,880.00 for international students per semester. Their graduate counterparts are charged $ 1,468.80, $ 2,263.20 or $ 3.025.44, respectively. There is a slight difference in cost when programs are taken in off-campus centers.
Student support services include academic assistance, career development, personal counseling, tutoring, peer mentoring, supplemental grant aid, financial aid assistance as well as assistance for students with disabilities. The programs offered at the off-campus centers are facilitated through New Mexico Highland University’s External Academic Program.
