Nazareth College is a coeducational, independent learning institution founded in 1924. It occupies a scenic 150-acre campus located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, New York. Rochester can be found at the Western part of the State on Lake Ontario in Monroe County.
The student body is comprised of 2,039 undergraduate students and 1,091 graduate students. The average class size is 19 while student/faculty ratio is 12:1. The faculty is composed of 158 full-time and 320 part-time members.
Professional programs founded on a solid liberal arts curriculum are offered by Nazareth College through its College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, School of Health and Human Services and School of Management. A wide range of areas of study including the liberal arts, sciences, visual and performing arts as well as professional fields are offered by Nazareth College. As of May 2009, it has awarded 499 bachelor’s degrees, 372 master’s degrees and 6 Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
The campus houses 23 buildings including a 2,200 seat stadium, an on-campus coffee house, 11 residence halls and several academic buildings. Educational development and training programs for adult learners are offered by the Office of Continuing Professional Programs. Advanced Certificate Programs are also offered in Educational Technology, Urban Education, Piano Pedagogy, Ethical Leadership, Aging Health, Play Therapy, Nurse Educator and Medical Interpreter, among others.
Tuition rate varies depending on the program. Graduate tuition except Doctor of Physical Therapy Program costs $ 683.00 per credit hour. Part-time undergraduate tuition costs $ 574.00 per credit hour. Doctor of Physical Therapy Program costs $ 958.00 per credit hour. Double-room fee excluding apartments costs $ 2,866.00 per semester.
