Northeastern State University (NSU)-Muskogee caters to the needs of adult learners, including working and returning undergraduate and graduate students. The offered programs address different educational lifestyles to enable students to pursue higher learning in spite of perceived obstacles such as family and career. The campus is located at 2400 W. Shawnee, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Northeastern State University has joined forces with Connors State College to create a base of service for their combined academic programs totaling 23 which are being offered to regional residents. These programs are being offered at the Muskogee Campus. An estimated 600 students take their classes each year using 70,000 square foot of classroom and laboratory space.
Some of the programs offered at Northeastern State University-Muskogee include the Master of Business Administration, Master of Education, Bachelor of Science in Education as well as course offerings in Education, Social Sciences and Business Administration. All Connors programs are expected to be in place by 2011. NSU Programs are offered by the College of Business and Technology, College of Education, College of Liberal Arts, and the College of Science and Health Professions.
The 22-acre Muskogee campus houses a 27,000 square foot building that houses 12 classrooms, a Speech Pathology Clinic, a library/media center, faculty/administrative offices, a computer lab, vending area and a conference center having a seating capacity of more than 155. Opened in 1993, the NSU-Muskogee campus stands on a city that was once a railroad town of the great American west. Muskogee was born when the Missouri-Kansas and Texas Railroad became the first rail line to cross Indian territory.
