A Catholic university founded in 1889, Saint Leo was the first Catholic institution in Florida, and today operates as a highly-ranked liberal arts university, with a grounding in Benedictine education. Recognized as a top-ten provider of military education, and a leader in online learning, having begun its Center for Online Learning in 1999, Saint Leo has a reputation much larger than its small size would suggest.
The School of Business was recently named for Donald R. Tapia, a 2007 graduate of the online MBA program. Tapia returned to school, in an online format, after a life in business to earn his degree, then retired, sold his business, and donated $4 million to the construction of a new facility for the School of Business. Tapia’s story perfectly illustrates the new world opened up by online education. Accredited by the IACBE, the Tapia School offers the highly respected online MBA Tapia himself earned. For students with at least five years of progressive, responsible business experience, the online MBA offers the opportunity to earn credentials that can bring a business-person into higher levels of professional success.
