Founded in 1858, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is a public research university in Chicago, Illinois. The second university in the University of Illinois system, it is also the largest in Chicago, and UIC is acclaimed by US News and World Report for its diversity, as well as ranking as one of the top 100 public universities.
In addition to the largest medical school in the US, UIC also includes a top-ranked CCNE-accredited College of Nursing. The UIC College of Nursing offers an online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree Completion Program. This is an online RN to BSN program for students in possession of a valid, unrestricted RN license. Program graduates will be prepared for leadership positions in the nursing field. All courses are offered entirely online. There is no residency requirement. Required practicums can be completed in a location convenient to the student
Applications for the online BSN Degree Completion Program require:
- Completed UIC Application and $50 Fee (non-refundable)
- Official transcripts
- GPA of 2.75,
- Current RN license
Tuition for the entire program runs $18,510 ($617 per credit hour for 30 credit hours), but does not include books and other course materials. Students may qualify for federal loans, Pell grants, and tuition assistance (for Illinois residents).
