Founded in 1859, the University of Saint Mary is a private, Catholic liberal arts university in Leavenworth, KS. Originally a women’s college, USM is now coeducational, but remains a Catholic college, emphasizing education in Catholic values and philosophy in all of its programs. USM has been acclaimed as one of the best universities in the Midwest by the Princeton Review. A very small university, with only 800 students, USM is able to afford students an exceptionally personal education.
For registered nurses USM offers a CCNE-accredited RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. With nine nursing courses and nine non-nursing courses, the online RN to BSN degree can be completed in as little as 18 months. Applicants to the RN-BSN program must have a valid RN license, issued in the United States, and a minimum college grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
