Western Governors University is a private, nonprofit, accredited online university with corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT. As a competency-based school, WGU has no academic requirements for admission beyond an admissions exam. The Western Governors University College of Health Professions offers courses designed with the workplace in mind, to prepare students for the demands of working in the health care industry. WGU offers a number of CCNE-accredited online nursing programs at the bachelor and master levels, including Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN), Nursing (Prelicensure), and Health Informatics, as well as Master of Science in Nursing Education or Leadership and Management (for RNs with BSNs), and Education or Leadership and Management for RNs without the BSN already.
