A private, Catholic liberal arts university in East Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania, Immaculate University was founded as a women’s college in 1920 but is now fully coeducational. Immaculata is famous for being the birthplace of women’s college basketball, with the women “Mighty Macs” winning three consecutive women’s basketball national championships from 1972-1974. The story of the team’s extraordinary winning streak was featured in a full-length film called “The Mighty Macs” in 2011.
Immaculata University’s College of LifeLong Learning administers several online degree programs for adult learners.
