Iowa Central College Online is the online module of Iowa Central Community College, a community college located in Fort Dodge, Iowa with branch campuses in Storm Lake and Webster City, also in Iowa. Established in 1966 as a result of the merger of Fort Dodge Community college with two other colleges, Iowa Central Community College was organized to fulfill the educational needs of the residents of its nine-county area made up of Buena Vista, Calhoun, Greene, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Sac, Webster and Wright..
Iowa Central College Online was created as part of Iowa Central Community College’s distance education program which allows students, wherever they may be located, to pursue their college education in a faster and more convenient manner without sacrificing quality. All courses are offered 100% online and have eight-week terms to allow students to complete their courses at an accelerated pace. New classes begin every four weeks.
Since it is a component of a community college, Iowa Central College Online only grants two-year Associate degrees. These online degree programs include Associate in Applied Science in Computer Networking Technology; Associate of Science in Criminal Justice; Associate of Science in Business; Associate of Arts (Gen. Ed.); Associate of Science in Human Services; and Associate of Science in Health Care Administration.
Tuition cost for online courses is US$280 per credit hour for most students and US$250 per credit hour for current and past military students. Financial aid is available in the form of Federal loans, grants, work-study arrangements, and various scholarships for qualified students.
Iowa Central College Online is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.
