Liberty University was founded in 1971 and has become the largest evangelical university in the world, educating students in the Christian view. Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, it offers at least 45 degree programs and 100 specializations in the online format leading to associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. It initiated its Distance Learning Program in which its online program is included, in 1985.

Online tuition rates vary depending on the program taken. Part-time per hour tuition rate is $ 320.00 for undergraduate, $ 445.00 for graduate, $ 475.00 for PhD and Doctorate and $ 265.00 for Seminary. The corresponding full-time tuition hour rates are $ 295.00, $ 425.00, $ 455.00 and $ 2,200.00 (block rate), respectively. A free four-week long course is given to help students acclimatize themselves to the online learning environment. The Online Library provides access to a wide range of resource materials to the university students.
