Ottawa University is a private, non-profit Christian university in Ottawa, KS. Founded by Baptist missionaries in 1865, the mission of Ottawa University is “to provide the highest quality liberal arts and professional education in a caring, Christ-centered community of grace which integrates faith, learning and life.” Ottawa has offered adult education programs since 1974 and now operates a large and growing online education program. The school is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, The Higher Learning Commission.

Ottawa University offers online degree programs in a number of academic subjects in the liberal arts, sciences, and business. All online courses are 8 weeks long and administered in an asynchronous format making them available to students at their convenience rather than preset times and days. Ottawa students can earn credit towards their degree for life experiences including previous college work, military service, and work.
