Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) is private Catholic university in San Antonio, Texas. The Tier 1 university is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is ranked by the U.S. News and World Report to be among this year’s America’s Best Colleges in the West. It also has the highest percentage of Hispanic students enrolled and provides great flexibility for students with its “Weekend College”, which also offers online degree programs.
Online degree programs current available in OLLU’s Weekend College include a Bachelor’s degree program in Organizational Leadership and Master’s programs in Social Work, Information Systems and Security, Non-profit Management, Organizational Leadership, Education (with concentration in Master Technology Teacher and in School Counseling), and Business Administration.
Admissions to OLLU’s online programs have the same requirements as those in traditional programs. Basic admission requirements for the online programs include application for admission, payment of application fee, official transcripts (high school or college, whichever applies), test scores (ACT/SAT for undergrad and MAT, GRE or GMAT for grad students), and letters of recommendation. For additional details, contact the Weekend College’s Admission Office.
Tuition at OLLU for undergraduate programs is at $690 per credit hour. For graduate programs it is at $700 per credit hour. An additional technology fee per course has to be paid.
Financial aid is very good at OLLU, which is probably why it has the lowest student debt among San Antonio Universities in 2009. Military students get the best deal with those in active duty ending up with zero tuition fee due to a combination of government tuition assistance ($250) and OLLU’s scholarship for military students.
