Regis University was founded in 1877 in New Mexico as Las Vegas College. It adapted its represent name in 1921 in honor of a 17th century Spanish Jesuit Missionary – St. John Francis Regis. It serves adult students worldwide through its College for Professional Studies’ Online programs. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The university enjoys distinguished educational ranking and was in fact named by the Corporation for National and Community Service to the 2008 U.S. President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. It is also an award-winning institution as a provider of adult education. Online programs have at least six start terms throughout the year for its accelerated 5 to 8 – week courses. These programs are offered on the bachelor’s and master’s levels as well as through certificate programs. U.S. News and World Report also ranks Regis University in the 28th Place for its Best Colleges 2011.

Online program tuition rates range from $ 410.00 to $ 460.00 per credit hour for undergraduate programs. Online master’s degree programs charge a tuition rate of $ 470.00 to $ 840.00 per credit hour.
