Stetson University, located in Central Florida, is a private liberal arts university that may be relatively small, but has a big reputation for educational excellence. In fact, Stetson University was ranked number 3 in the South by US News and World Report for its 2011 list of Best Colleges. It is is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Stetson University currently offers two fully online graduate degree programs, including its Master of Accountancy Degree Program (MAcc) and its Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree Program. The MAcc program is especially designed to prepare students for their CPA exam, meeting the 150 credit hours, which is requisite in most states. The faculty that developed and are teaching both programs are are award winning faculty. Both programs are also accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Aside from the very popular online graduate programs, Stetson also offers special online courses during summer in the fields of Education, English, and Business. This allows both on-campus undergraduate and graduate students the flexibility of schedule needed during summer.
Basic admission requirements to both of the online graduate programs include a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting from an accredited university, a minimum GPA of 3.0 and minimum GMAT of 500. Additional requirements may be asked, including completion of some foundation classes.
Tuition for AY 2010-2011 for the Master Of Accountancy program is listed at $750 per credit hour. For the online MBA program, tuition is is listed at $1,000 per credit hour. This tuition rates does not include other fees. Financial aid is available at Stetson University in the form of Federal Aid, scholarships, and private loans.
