Stevenson University, founded in 1947, is a private institution located in Maryland. Its reputation for academic excellence is steadily growing, and has in fact climbed 4 ranks up from number 15 to number 11 in US News and World Report’s Best Colleges in the North for 2011. Stevenson University offers online bachelor’s degree programs, especially designed for working adults, through its School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Currently, the two undergraduate programs offered online are the Criminal Justice program, and the RN to BSN program. There are also two online graduate programs offered. The two programs are the Masters in Business and Technology Management program, and the Masters in Forensic Studies program.
Admission requirements to the online programs vary. For the online undergraduate programs, applicants are required to submit the completed application form, pay the $50 application fee, have at least 2 years work experience, and a minimum of 30 transferable credits with CGPA of 2.5. Those with less credits than required must submit their official high school transcripts of GED certificate. Applicants of the RN to BS Nursing program must also currently be registered nurses in Maryland and be in good standing.
Basic admission requirements for the online graduate programs include a completed application form, $50 application fee, and all college transcripts. Other information that may be submitted but are not required include a writing sample, letters of recommendation (academic or work-related), resume, GRE or GMAT scores.
Tuition at Stetson University is listed at $465 per credit for adult online undergraduate programs and $530 per credit for graduate programs. Financial aid is available at the university in the form of Federal and state grants, and scholarships.
