University of Florida (UF), Florida’s oldest and most comprehensive public university, has been a member of the Association of American Universities since 1985. It ranks among the top universities in the United States, having been listed in US News and World Report’s “Top Public Universities”, and Kiplinger’s “Best Values in Public Colleges”.
The University of Florida offer distance education programs, from certification programs to undergraduate and graduate degree programs. These distance education programs are available using a variety of distance education delivery methods, both print-based and online. Fully online courses and programs are delivered via a Learning Management System (LMS). UF’s fully online correspondence courses are administered by the Flexible Learning/Correspondence Study Department.
Application to online courses does not always require admissions to UF. However, application to the online degree programs, whether a bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or Doctorate degree, requires formal admission to the University of Florida. Admission requirements to the online programs vary per program but are essentially the same as requirements for campus-based programs. Financial aid is available to online students usually in the form of Federal Aid (grant and loans), scholarships, and private loans.
