The University of the Incarnate Word is a private Catholic liberal arts university in San Antonio, TX. Founded as a women’s college in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, the school became a coeducational university in 1971. Widely considered one of the top liberal arts colleges in the Southwest, Incarnate Word is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The University of the Incarnate Word’s Virtual Campus administers the university’s online degree programs. All Virtual Campus degree programs are fully online with no campus visits are required. All admitted undergraduate students are given all necessary textbooks free of charge.
