Walden University, established in 1970, is a private institution located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Walden is best known for specialising in distance learning, particularly using the online delivery method, and is in fact part of a network of online universities. As testament to this, Walden has been ranked by the Online Education Database to be among the top in its “Peer Web Citations” category and “Scholarly Citations” category. Walden University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
