Western New England College, founded in 1919, offers more than 30 undergraduate programs and quite a number of graduate programs as well. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, aside from having specialized accreditation for some of its programs. The college’s reputation for its Master’s programs is also very solid, having been ranked by the US News and World Report for being among the “Best Master’s Universities” in the North for 2011.
Western New England College offers accelerated programs for both undergraduate and graduate courses. Some of the programs are delivered on-campus while others are delivered online or through a hybrid format. Currently accelerated undergraduate programs that are offered in hybrid (in-class and online) format as well as entirely online format, are Bachelor’s degree programs in Business, Communication, Liberal Studies, Management, and Psychology. An fully Online Bachelors in Business Administration program, although it is not an accelerated undergraduate program.
Accelerated graduate degree programs offered as fully online programs or hybrid programs include the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (MEDCI), Master in Business Administration and in Business Administration Sport, Master of Science in Accounting (Forensic Accounting & Fraud Investigation Concentration, and Taxation Concentration), and Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) and in Engineering Management (MSEM). Online certificate programs offered are the Green Belt Certificate and Lean Systems Certificate.
General admissions requirements to online undergraduate degree programs include a high school diploma or GED certificate, and completion of minimum preparatory units for specific courses in chosen area of study. Admissions requirements for online graduate programs vary, however all programs require that applicants submit their official copy of transcripts, 2-3 recommendation forms, an essay or personal statement, resume, pertinent admission tests, and applicable licenses.
