Founded in 1859, the University of Saint Mary is a private, Catholic liberal arts university in Leavenworth, KS. Originally a women’s college, USM is now coeducational, but remains a Catholic college, emphasizing education in Catholic values and philosophy in all of its programs. USM has been acclaimed as one of the best universities in the Midwest by the Princeton Review. A very small university, with only 800 students, USM is able to afford students an exceptionally personal education.
