Bay Path College is a college with a career-focused curriculum that was founded in 1897. Currently it has 3 campus located in Longmeadow, Sturbridge, and Burlington, Massachusetts. It is a member of the Cooperating Colleges of Greater Springfield, which is an eight-college consortium in the area.
The college is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. It has also received approval from the American Bar Association, Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, and the Massachusetts Department of Education. Bay Path College is also currently ranked by the US News and World Report to be one of “America’s Best” Baccalaureate Colleges in the North.
In 2007 the college offered its first online graduate programs via Bay Path Online. Online courses have the same academic requirements as the on-campus courses and also receive the same accreditation.
Admission requirements vary for each program. The basic requirements, however, are as follows:
● Completed online application form
● Two letters of recommendation
● Non-refundable application fee of $45.00
● Undergraduate and graduate transcripts (a minimum GPA of 3.0)
Tuition for the AY 2010-2011 are as follows.
● Per-credit Graduate rate: $625
● MS in Forensics per-credit rate: $755
● MS in Education/Special Education per-credit rate: $325.00
Note that lab fees vary for each course.
Financial aid is available in the form of loans from the Federal government, as well as private loans. Grants and scholarships are also available with a special scholarship program available for qualified students enrolled in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy Programs.
