Mount Mary College is a four-year Catholic, women’s college founded in 1913 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND). It traces its origins to the St. Mary’s Institute Prairie du Chien which became the St. Mary’s College in 1926. When this same institution transferred location to Milwaukee, it adapted the name Mount Mary College. It now occupies an 80-acre suburban campus on the northwest side of Milwaukee at 2900 North Menomonee River Parkway, Wisconsin.
Total present enrollment is 1,929 consisting of 1,434 undergraduate and 486 graduate students. The average class size is 25 while the student/faculty ratio is 14:1. Instructions are provided by full-time and part-time professors with no graduate assistants handling any class.
The academic programs of Mount Mary College integrates the liberal arts foundation with over 60 undergraduate majors leading to degrees in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science as well as seven graduate programs leading to degrees in Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration and Master of Science. At least four programs are offered in the Accelerated Format especially designed for students requiring the flexibility of working through a program at their own pace. These include the undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Business/Professional Communication and Liberal Studies as well as the MBA Program. The academic programs are offered through the college divisions comprised of the Arts and Design, Business Administration, Education and Mathematics, Graduate and Continuing Education, Health and Science, Language/Literature and Communication Division, Philosophy and Theology and Social Science and Related Discipline. Select programs are offered online.
Full-time tuition amounts to $ 21,668.00 per year to include academic instruction, lectures, laboratories and students and academic support services plus subscriptions to college publications. Tuition per credit costs $ 648.00. The single with bath room option costs $ 4,182.00 per semester.
