National American University opened its doors in 1941 as thee National School of Business. It specifically catered to the residents of South Dakota who are in need of specialized business training. It started occupying its present site during the latter part of 1960s at 321 Kansas City Street, Rapid City, South Dakota. Since then, it has been able to establish Campus and Education Center locations in Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, South Dakota and Texas. Its online offering has made it possible for its programs to be accessible worldwide.
The university’s undergraduate programs lead to bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees and diplomas. Areas of study range from Accounting to Veterinary Technology. Graduate Studies are comprised of the Master of Business Administration, Master of Management and Master of Science in Nursing. National American University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Since the university operates on a quarter system, the registration deadline for courses is generally one week prior to the start of the course.
